Decluttering My Life

One thing you may not know about me is that I like to keep stuff, I guess you could say I hoard stuff. My family and partner have told me this many things but I have always liked to hold on to everything.

However, recently I have wanted  to start to declutter, I will be taking this in stuff steps and thought I would try and document my journey.

This is one of the 10 goals I have listed for next year, I will write about the journey that each goal has taken me on and will keep you updated along the way.

The first and easiest thing for me to declutter is my clothes, I haven't really grown since I was about 12, literally about half an inch. So I have never had to get rid of my wardrobe as I've got taller. I have had clear outs now and then but it just continues to grow.

Along with decluttering my clothes, I have also given myself the goal of buying no more than 10 items of clothing next year.

For now though my first small step is to get rid of 10 items from my wardrobe before the end of the year.

I will keep you updated.

Finally sorting out my room and wardrobe

I'm the kind of person that if my room isn't perfect I will just let it become the biggest mess ever and just live amongst the mess. However, one of my new year resolutions was to start to become more organised I have taken the step to organise my room as how can one be organised when they live in chaos? The answer is they can't.

So now in May my room is nearing the organised line after persuading my mum to take me on several tips to ikea.

Don't worry I will be including photos you don't have to take my word for it.

Things to Learn from Uni

Going to university can be exciting but scary.

The travelling for hours to finally get to your new home, you're halls in the city that will be your home for the next three years.

Straight after getting to halls, you go out and have to socialise even though part of you just thinks an early night would be amazing. Blocking that voice and and over drinking due to being tired and scary meeting so many new people all at once.

This is one of the only times you will go out and get so amazingly drunk with a bunch of strangers you hope will be your new friends. Telling them how much you love them when you can't even remember their names.

Not getting in till four in the morning when you decide its a good time to get to know you're flatmates and talk till 7 about god knows what because everyone's too drunk to remember.

The worst part is a few days after you have to do it all again sober when you go in to uni and meet people on your course.

Budgetting

You learn slowly how to live on a budget. In the first term you can't ever stay on budget but in the second year its gets easier finding the cheapest places and no longer going out 3/4 times a week.

Also learn that you can live on pasta for weeks, its boring but doable.
