2021 - Resolutions and Decluttering

If you are anything like me, you love having a to do list.

Each year I write a list of what I want to do in that year and each year pretty much nothing or nothing gets ticked off.

The only person who's fault this is, is mine...

Well why do I keep doing these lists?

Honestly most years the list is the same but it gets refined slightly.

So will 2021 be any different?

Time will tell but until previous years, I am going to keep this blog updated so what doesn't get achieved I will be accountable or at least more accountable than usual.

So my list for 2021:

  • Lose Lockdown Weight - have managed to start to lose some of the weight but only about halfway at the moment. Which isn't too bad as done since December.
  • Be more active - go out for walks - this has started to become a habit now and so just need to keep this up.
  • Reduce wardrobe size- declutter and have a more minimalist wardrobe - have already done by first declutter but will need to go through again once everything fits me again.
  • Declutter whole flat - Less is more challenge - have done for January so will do again later on in the year.
  • Beauty and Skincare - To use up what I already have, some things I haven't bought in over 4 years and am still getting through stuff. This is shocking the sheer amount of stuff I collected. I am making my routine more natural and eco friendly but am using up what I have first.
  • Restart my blog - aiming for 1/2 posts per week.
  • Reading - I am part of 1 book club for a few years and have tried others but the book clubs never last (no me, the book club just doesn't keep going).
  • Illustrations and Etsy shop - actually list my things on Etsy and keep up with Illustrations.
  • Children's Book - I started writing this 4 years ago and is pretty much finished, but I wanted to do the illustrations to go with it and haven't managed it yet.
  • Yoga and exercise - try and make yoga a habit again, I have struggled to do Yoga from Home, I get distracted and don't make the time for it.

That list is rather long, but that shouldn't be off-putting, next is to do monthly lists, and weekly if you feel you need them. My list is below.

February
  1. Daily walks - this is important, especially when working from home to actually get out into the fresh air.
  2. 10,000 Steps per day - this is partial linked to the below but walks don't always add up to 10,000 so need to make sure I keep active and it helps make sure I don't just sit down reading or watching tv for too long.
  3. Read four Books - two for book clubs and two for me
  4. Set up a yoga space - need a permanent place to try and do yoga again
  5. Get rid of Declutter items from the flat - list things on Olio, sell anything that can but and recycle anything that can't be reused by someone.

Well that's the plan for this month, it doesn't look too hard but we shall see.

Have a lovely day!
